Lab quiz for Web Programming

Scenario

You are given a task to develop a simple web database application for a computer shop. The system will store the information of all the branded laptops in the shop. Below are the information needed for the database.

Database server information : server address=localhost, username=root, no password

Database name: COMPUTERSHOP

Table name : Laptops

Fields in table Movies : CompID, CompModel, Manufacturer, Processor, RAMCapacity, HarddiskCapacity, Price.

Tasks

1. Create the database and table as stated above (using MySQL through phpMyAdmin).

2. Develop the web page by using the combination of HTML and PHP scripts to search and display the laptop information by CompModel.

(Create two different pages)

3. Develop a HTML form for the user to insert a record of a new laptop computer. Save the new record in the table Laptops.

    Database password tak de, username root. Tak secure langsung. Walaupun sekadar latihan, sepatutnya dijadikan amalan membuat sistem yang secure semampu yang boleh

    Ya... Thanx for the comment. My mistake. Tak perlu nak gaduh... Next time I'll makesure all the root is secured with a password. You're absolutely right k_kima, it's our responsibility to make sure the system is secure. Long time no see, so where you went after teras-solution.com ...

    For anonymous, u cannot say I am 1000x better than k_kima. I know k_kima, and he is among the best PHP programmer and practitioner. And he is far better than me in term of hands-on experience.

    Saje je suke-suke komen. Aku baru masuk balik dunia IT. Lepas Tesol ari tu jadi cikgu kejap, sekarang pegawai IT untuk Darul Fuqaha.
    Kalo ada projek training atau ape-ape ajak le aku sekali.
