USB-debugging - Mencuba applikasi Android versi pembangunan pada peranti sebenarExperimen ini dijalankan pada 2 peranti Android; iaitu Samsung Galaxy S (telefon ) dan Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.

Pada dasarnya, applikasi Android yang sedang anda bangunkan boleh anda cuba pada semua peranti Android menggunakan kabel USB. Kabel USB yang utama dalam persekitaran Android adalah microUSB.

USB - MicroUSB adalah kabel yang digunakan pada kebanyakan peranti Android kecuali pada Samsung Galaxy Tab (7.0, 7.7, 8.9 dan 10.1). Di mana peranti-peranti ini menggunakan kabel yang menyambungkan port khas.

Tutorial Pengaturcaraan Android

Langkah 1: Pastikan anda pasang Samsung KIES pada komputer anda. KIES merupakan perisian perhubungan komputer dan peranti Android anda (jenama Samsung). Bersama KIES anda akan dibekalkan adb (Android debugger bridge) untuk menghubungkan peranti Android Samsung dan komputer. (Langkah ini perlu dilakukan hanya sekali sahaja)

Langkah 2: Set tetapan “USB Debugging”. Sebelum menyambungkan peranti dan komputer, pergi ke Setting –> Applications –> Development –> USB Debugging. Ini perlu bagi menyediakan peranti untuk menerima fail APK dari komputer.

Langkah 3: Sambungkan peranti Android kepada komputer. Perhatikan ikon “debug” pada notification bar. Pada peringkat ini, komputer akan memasang beberapa driver yang berkaitan. Pasang dan restart jika diminta.

Langkah 4: Buka projek Android (dalam contoh ini, pengedit kod Eclipse digunakan, setelah dipasang siap dengan ADT – Android Development Toolkit). Uji applikasi mobile anda dengan menekan butang Run (image) pada IDE Eclipse.

Pilih peranti Android yang betul (image), seperti pada Rajah 6, ADT akan memasang applikasi pada peranti. Perhatikan perubahan yang berlaku pada paparan peranti anda.

Perhatikan pada peranti mobile, applikasi anda akan kelihatan. Paparan pada Rajah 7 adalah paparan skrin peranti seperti kelihatan pada peranti Android yang disambung kepada komputer.

Paparan peranti Android ini dipaparkan terus kepada komputer menggunakan AndroidScreenCast (Rajah 8).
