This global conference on Language and Information Technology: Synergizing Meaningful Education (GLIT 2014) highlights current interdisciplinary enquiry and explorations on research and practice in various aspects of language and information technology. Significant issues in synergizing language and information technology in various disciplines will be the focus of the conference. The conference aims to be a platform for interaction, exploration, examination, and comprehension of issues related to innovative knowledge. It will be a specific gathering of experts, practitioners, researchers, writers and graduate students engaged in research in all aspects of integrated knowledge of language and information technology. GLIT 2014 welcomes all, to be informed by experts, and thus to sharpen the understanding on knowledge in education needs. Through the sharing of research findings and best examples of practice GLIT 2014 will contribute to all levels of education settings globally.
On behalf of the GLIT 2014 Organizing Committee, we are glad to invite you to take part in the GLIT 2014 conference to present your research findings, innovative ideas, latest technologies and up-to-date methodologies. Papers on the issues of intercultural and multicultural society’s dialogue are also welcome. On this basis, the GLIT 2014 Organizing Committee is calling for papers for submission to the Global Conference on Language and Information Technology 2014 (GLIT 2014) which addresses issues that serve locally and globally.
All papers will undergo a peer-review process and all accepted papers will be published in the conference e-Proceedings with an e-ISBN.

OBJECTIVES
The objectives of GLIT 2014 are to:
- bring together local and international scholars, writers and practitioners to share their research experience and findings.
- address issues arising from new knowledge, innovation and excellence in language, information technology and social sciences.
- provide a platform for academicians and researchers to share ideas, expertise and experiences pertaining to relevant issues on language and technology.
- present the result of their research activities in the various disciplines, themes and areas of knowledge.
- discuss research that contributes to the sharing of new ideas, innovations theoretical, methodological, empirical knowledge and problem solving techniques for better understanding in the various disciplines, themes and areas of knowledge.
- share ideas and expertise in language teaching and learning in the context of new technology
- explore pedagogical issues pertaining language teaching and learning with ICT applications
- empower acquisition of  language teaching and learning with the utilization of ICT

Installing Google AdMob into Android Apps

Multimedia Dictionary app for Android – with Source codes

I decided to publish the following source code of a Multimedia Dictionary app for Android. The apps is a dictionary of the following languages, Malay, Arabic and English. All the word entries are available in the locally (sqlite), however we do not have the complete word list. This code is specifically designed to support only Android 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3. This is due to lack of Arabic character support in the listed Android version. And there ‘s a special treatment to the Arabic characters which we found quite complicated. It won’t run beautifully on the Android 3.0 and above. Sorry for the lack of documentation, however if you’re familiar with Java in Android, it actually simple. I’ll do further documentation later.
